Visualisation has become a concept that needs to be considered more deeply with the increasing technological and instrumental developments of the modern era. It is not merely an issue confined to specific disciplines but a phenomenon that manifests itself in all areas of life. In our everyday spatial experiences, we are continuously engaged in a process of visualized (environment)-visualisation, whether consciously or without seeking a deliberate methodological approach. In this context, Visualisation finds itself a part in many areas like physically, cognitively, and creatively.
This call aims to foster visualisation by considering the representation as a canopy term. The representational connection between reality and image fundamentally shapes the way we think about the world. This context also positions representation as an irreducible and unthinkable phenomenon. Representation not only influences how it is perceived but also reproduces the perception of vitality through relationships contemplated within this atmosphere of complexity and intertwinement. Whether in professional or everyday contexts, theological or scientific thought, constructivist or deconstructivist approaches, representations serve as events, drawings, situations, moments, or anything that assumes the role of a new image—each with its own unique atmosphere.
Within the emerging perspectives in visualisation this call aims to study as part of a collective process of thinking, creating, dialoguing, and producing. It embraces a wide range of disciplines, from art to engineering and from applied sciences to theoretical and metaphorical thinking. At its core, this platform is designed for sharing and discussion, bringing us together to establish Turkey’s first dedicated platform for representation studies. This platform welcomes anyone who wishes to share their ideas, projections, and perspectives. Together, we form an open research community dedicated to exchanging ideas. It is built on the understanding that representation is not merely a narrative tool or a static framework but a continuously evolving and reconstituted mode of visualisation.
Görselleştirme, modern çağın hızlanan teknolojik ve araçsal gelişmeleri ışığında daha derin düşünmeyi gerektiren bir kavram hâline gelmiştir. Artık belirli disiplinlerle sınırlı kalmayıp yaşamın tüm alanlarında karşımıza çıkar. Gündelik mekânsal deneyimlerimizde çevremizi, bilinçli ya da bilinçsiz biçimde, sürekli olarak görselleştirme sürecine dâhil oluruz. Bu anlamda görselleştirme, aynı anda fiziksel, bilişsel ve yaratıcı bir olgu olarak ortaya çıkar.
Bu çağrı, temsili kapsayıcı bir çerçeve olarak konumlandırarak görselleştirme alanını genişletmeyi amaçlıyor. Gerçeklik ile imge arasındaki temsili ilişki, dünyayı nasıl algıladığımızı ve düşündüğümüzü temelden şekillendirir; bu da temsili vazgeçilmez ve indirgenemez bir olgu hâline getirir. Temsil, yalnızca algıyı düzenlemekle kalmaz; taşıdığı karmaşık ve iç içe geçmiş ilişkiler aracılığıyla canlılık duygusunu da yeniden üretir. İster profesyonel ister gündelik bağlamlarda; ister teolojik ister bilimsel düşüncede; ister yapısalcı ister yapısökümcü yaklaşımlarda olsun, temsiller olaylar, çizimler, durumlar ya da anlar olarak belirir—kendi atmosferine sahip yeni bir imge rolünü üstlenir.
Görselleştirmeye ilişkin gelişen perspektifler içinde bu çağrı, düşünme, yapma, konuşma ve üretme süreçlerinden oluşan kolektif bir zeminin parçası olarak katkıları davet eder. Sanattan mühendisliğe, uygulamalı bilimlerden kuramsal ve metaforik sorgulamalara uzanan geniş bir disiplin yelpazesini kucaklar. Özünde bu platform, paylaşım ve tartışma için bir alan olarak tasarlanmıştır; katkı sunanları bir araya getirerek Türkiye’nin temsil çalışmaları alanındaki ilk özel platformunu kurmayı hedefler.
Bu platform, fikirlerini, öngörülerini ve perspektiflerini paylaşmak isteyen herkese açıktır. Birlikte, etkileşim üzerine kurulu açık bir araştırma topluluğu oluşturmayı amaç edinen bu topluluk, temsili yalnızca bir anlatı aracı ya da durağan bir çerçeve olarak değil; görselleştirmenin sürekli evrilen ve yeniden kurulan bir modu olarak gören bir anlayışa dayanır.
